Afro-Brazilian-Tour |
The cultural heritage of the slaves in Rio
This tour will take you back to the days of slavery and show you places which were of great importance for the life of the people who had been carried away from Africa to Brazil. The Church of "São Benedito e São Rosário do Homem Preto" has long been the Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro. Here the first major political manifestation and "O Dia do Fico" (The day of staying) was prepared. Many Afro-Brazilians lived until the mid 20th Century in "Little Africa", the birthplace of immortalized Samba and Chorinho musicians and the biggest carnival parade in the world.
This tour in a small group takes place from Monday to Friday in the afternoon. The minimum number of participants for this tour is two people.
