Christ the Redeemer Statue: Get your tickets here
In 2007 the Christ the Redeemer statue “Cristo Redentor” was selected in Lisbon as one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World". The civil engineer was Heitor Costa Silva. Paul Landowski has made the plaster models of the hands and the head in his studio in Paris. After five years of unremitting building the statue was inaugurated on 12 October 1931. Not only the Christ the Redeemer statue itself is impressive but also the view from the 710m high Corcovado Mountain.
You will drive through the Tijuca park to the Christ statue, the symbol of Rio de Janeiro, where you have time to admire the beautiful panorama of the city. Then we cntinue through the Tijuca forest along the lagoon to the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema (this route can be designed differently in the private tour).
