Sugarloaf - City tour - Corcovado - Tijuca Forest

Visit the two city landmarks: the Christ statue on top of the Corcovado as well as the Sugarloaf, and experience the beauty of Rio de Janeiro during this fantastic day trip! In a cable car you will make your way up to the Sugarloaf, where you will have plenty of time, to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the city and the Guanabara bay. Afterwards we will take you to the next highlight of our tour, the Corcovado with its 38 meter high Christ statue. Already the ride through the scenic Tijuca-Rainforest up to the Corcovado is an experience. The breathtaking view to the city, the beaches and the Sugarloaf are the highlights of this day tour and will for sure be a memory you will never forget!

The city tour will take you along the Sambodromo, the arena where the famous Carnival Parades of the Samba Schools take place, as well as the modern Cathedral and the Cinelandia Square with its historical buildings.

The sequence of this day tour is our suggestion. As with all our private tours, the program of the tour can be individualy selected by you. We will customize a tour for you and will let you know, how much time you will need to visit all you want to see.

At the "Rio in One Day Tour" for example it is possible to include one of the following alternatives or to extend the tour according to your wishes:

• A short city tour on foot in the historical city center
• Botanical Garden
• Tijuca Forest (with a short hike and the visit of the Taunay Waterfalls)
• The "modern Rio" Barra da Tijuca with its beaches as well as the beach São Conrado, where you can gaze at hang gliders. If you are interested in a Tandem-Flight, we will be pleased to organize one for you.
• Favela Rocinha or other "Comunidades" (poorer communities)
• Niteroi (city tour and visit of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Outward journey on the Rio-Niteroi-Bridge, retun by ferry)
• Afro-Brazilian Tour: visiting sites that remember the days of slavery.
